Clean Fuel Equals Clean Performance For Phoenix Drivers
Time to discuss fuel filters. These filters clean your vehicles fuel including the dirt, dust and debris that affects your drive. You will find fuel filters in gasoline and diesel-powered engines. This filter is located in the fuel line between the fuel tank and the engine. Any dirt is bad for your engine. The cleaner the fuel, the better an engine will run.
Small amounts of dirt, rust and contaminants can settle in your fuel tank over time. After a few years, this can add up to quite a bit of sediment. This could mean that as your fuel filter has to work harder to screen your fuel. More sediment in your tank means more potential for dirty fuel.
The harder your fuel filter works, the more often it needs to be replaced. Being in Arizona, we get a large amount of dust and dirt in our air. Our Service Advisors are here to help determine the condition of your vehicles filter, how often it should be serviced and how long you can expect it to last.
If your fuel filter becomes clogged, you will begin to feel your engine sputter when you drive highway speeds or when you accelerate rapidly, your filter won’t be able to give a top performance. A dirty or clogged filter will allow enough fuel to run your vehicle at low speeds.
A clogged filter is more dangerous if you need to accelerate suddenly out of the path of danger, you may not have the power to do so.
Fuel filters have a bypass valve. When the filter becomes clogged, the valve allows some fuel to bypass the filter so the engine can keep running but, not enough to be running well or efficient.
All this means is that dirty, unfiltered fuel is entering your engine. Instead of the dirt clogging up your filter, it is now getting into your fuel injectors, where it can cause damage. Fuel injectors are expensive; fuel filters are not. We are here to help you keep up with the maintenance your vehicle needs to avoid the larger repairs.
Some vehicles have the fuel filters inside the fuel tank and cannot be routinely serviced. Our team will be able to tell you if this applies to your vehicle. Following the recommended schedules for preventive maintenance is a key to getting the most out of your vehicle. Our regular inspections of your vehicle help educate you on the services needed to keep you on the road, driving safe while working to avoid those larger repairs.

"Diagnosed the problem, replaced the bad hose and finished the entire service within 2 hours. They were honest and fair with the price. No hidden fees added. Traveled from Anthem to have truck serviced as I use to bring old vehicle here. Worth the drive to be treated so nicely and to have honest work done. They are my #1 go to people for servicing. I highly recommend them to all who read this."
